The 2026 event is the first of 2 major HOT ROD events honoring the centennial. The second is HOT ROD Drag Week, which runs September 13-18, 2026, along a separate Route 66 circuit beginning and ending at Route 66 Raceway in Joliet, Illinois.

What Should You Know Before Attending the Hot Rod Power Tour 2026?

Attendees should prepare 5 key items before arriving at any Hot Rod Power Tour 2026 venue.

    2. Bring a helmet – Helmets are required for all drag racing and autocross participation
    3. Book hotels early – Anthony Travel (On Location) serves as the official travel partner and can be reached at motortrend@onlocationexp.com or 844-406-6850
    4. Carry cash – Many vendors at each stop do not accept digital payments
    5. Prepare your vehicle in advance – Participants with older vehicles are advised to test for mechanical reliability before the tour, as roadside assistance is not provided by the event

Tour departures each morning start near the previous day’s venue. Participants are not required to follow the official cruise route but doing so places the vehicle within the rolling car show portion of the event. Credentials picked up on Day 1 remain valid for all subsequent stops without additional check-ins.

    THE MAN FROM SNOWY RIVER!

He has spent considerable time in Collier County’s oldest settlement, arriving during stone crab season when the waterfront smells of brine and work, and returning in the off-season when the tourists are gone and the town goes quiet in the particular way that only genuinely remote places can. He has paddled the mangrove tunnels of the Ten Thousand Islands, eaten at places with no hours posted on the door, and spoken at length with fishing guides who navigate these waters by memory rather than chart.

His writing on Everglades City FL covers everything from tidal fishing conditions and kayak trails to lodging, local history, and the complex past that most Florida travel content carefully avoids.
